The Durban Folk Club  (DFC)      ** Click here for NEWS **

promotes local music and provides musicians with a venue for performing.  DFC is a non-profit organisation catering to the interests of its members. The membership is made up of music lovers from all walks of life, as well as amateur and professional musicians.

Where does DFC meet ...... the first Tuesday of every month at the Jazz Centre, University of KZN, Durban campus. Secure parking, cash bar. The couvert charge (R10 for members, R20 for non-members) goes towards paying the performers, as well as helping to cover the costs of running the club.
Who plays at the club evenings.......
Three or four established musicians are invited to play each evening. The names of the featured guests are advertised in the local newspapers, and radio gig guides. Occasionally, an evening is set aside to feature a visiting artist.
Would you like to perform at DFC ?
To reserve a half-hour spot for an evening, phone the MC listed on the programme for the date you would like to play. Alternatively, there is sometimes space at the end of the evening for a jam, so drop in with your instrument, and speak to the MC on the night.
